Hollyoaks Reporter

This weeks sees the introduction of another Hollyoaks evening spin off aptly named named Hollyoaks Later.  Hollyoaks uses these spin offs to tell stories that the normal Hollyoaks couldn’t touch due to the time it goes on air.

Hollyoaks Later follows Craig, Steph and Tom on holiday to a remote location full of hills and lakes – this may not seem like a story normally told by an evening spin off until you realise that Niall has followed them there and after last nights episode has effectively kidknapped Tom!

The show also follows Josh’s band, the Dirty Diago’s which includes Josh, Amy, Michaella and Sasha after they have been selected to participate in a battle of the bands style competition.

The final major storyline takes Zoe back to her high school where we learn about her relationship with teacher, Sam and that this isn’t the only with a school child Sam has had.  It also takes Sarah to Silverstone for a bikini photoshoot and apparently Nancy is dead – she’s not.

You can follow all these storylines in the new Hollyoaks Later, a five part Hollyoaks spin off series which continues tonight at 10pm on E4.

After the last year that Niall has had and all the rubbish that has happened to him over the last few months you’d be forgiven for feeling some empathy towards the character but in some circumstances i’m not sure I can forgive him murdering Keiron or any of the other things he’s done recently which has been making Myra’s life hell.

However I feel he almost redeems some of my respect yesterday when he visits Myra almost I think determined to tell her the truth.  He does so by bringing along the folder which contains details of his relationship with Myra but after discussing whats in the folder with Myra he discovers that although she did want to find out who her son was she no longer wanted the stress.

He does try to convince her but his attempts are unsuccessful and he leaves the McQueens house even more lonely that he arrives – i’m just worried about what he’s going to do next – I fear he’s becoming dangerously unstable!

Over the past few weeks Michaella has been developing feelings for Mike Barnes, of course for those that have been watching Hollyoaks recently these feelings can’t possibly be reciprochated by Mike as he is in a relationship with the lovely Zoe.

In yesterdays episode Michaella builds up the strength to tell Mike of her feelings which takes Mike by a bit of a shock and he tries to let her down gentley.  When Mike gives her some reasons she tries to dismiss them and tries to find reasons that they should be together, but of course it isn’t to be and Michaella leaves devasted and very unhappy.

Where can they go from here – I don’t know!

I think this storyline has been brewing for a while it involves 3 reasonably big characters in Hollyoaks.  Obviously Louise and Warren have been a couple since the death of Shaun, for those not in the know this untimely death was caused by Warren and Lousie now knows.  Anyway more recently Mandy comes back into the soap for the wedding (and subsequent funeral) of Max.

This sets up our characters nicely, in a previous episode Warren and Mandy shared an intimate moment after a particulary frustrating row between Warren and Louise and it looks like Warren and Louise will split as Louise gets more and more paranoid about Warren and Mandy (especially with Cindy determined to stir things up).   On most occasions Mandy and Warren are simply planning Warren and Louise’s wedding.

A couple of nights ago it looked like it might be over for good between Warren and Louise, so Warren aranges to meet Mandy in the Dog, but things look up between Warren and Louise so Warren fails to turn up.  In last nights episode I think this story line came to a (possibly temporary) end when Warren and Louise seem to make up and seem to be once again commited to each other.

How long will it be before they fall apart yet again, with this couple it could be today!

No, i’m not joking, after the past terrible few months that Steph has had with getting wed and losing her husband Max on the same day thanks to nasty Niall.

More recently Steph has found her world turned upside down,  her mum, Frankie and Darren have been lying to her about Jack’s (fake) death.  And just to top it off Niall shows his nasty side when Tom hides the folder containing information regarding his relationship with Myra – in an effort to find it he loses his temper in front of Steph and Tom.

In yesterdays episode in an attempt to get Steph back he goes round to the flat only to discover that Steph and Tom had gone, instead he finds Mandy telling him she’s gone and she’s not going to tell him where she’s gone.  Just as Niall starts to lose his temper again Warren turns up and see’s him off.

I have to say over the last  few months i’m feeling a lot more empathy towards Warren – yes maybe he’s not a “good” character but he is certainly a rich character with a lot of compassion for those that he cares about but I still wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of him!

Ok, maybe that was a little bit too much but this post is all about saying normal service will be resumed as from today after a (very) long break from updating this blog all about the wonderful world of Hollyoaks.

So as from today i’m getting back on top of things and the Hollyoaks Reporter is back in business – yay!

Story updates for yesterday coming up shortly

It seems their split was only momentary – Danny felt that he’s made a mistake and picked up the courage to try and get back with Hannah again.

After a little persuasion to get her on her own and with a little encouragement from Beth, he managed to talk to her and she agreed.  Danny agreed not to act like that again.

Lets just hope the family don’t ruin it again (after all she does seem happier when she’s around Danny!)

Over the last couple of months we’ve seen Fletch get seriously into drugs but over the last week or so we’ve seen him slowly bring Sasha into his world.  In yesterdays episode Calvin caught Sasha and Fletch after they had just finished taking drugs … moments before Carmells interview.  He had a very short amount of time to clear the house and to get Sasha out of site.

After the interviewer had left Calvin forced Sasha to go to her room but in the process she hit her head on the wooden stairwell.  This is where the story is about to take a dark twist… Read the rest of this entry »

Having yesterday reported that Nancy had said she didn’t want to marry Jake, she has, well changed her mind – that or Jake hasn’t dropped it.

In short with baby Charlie still in hospital and his condition not looking any better they can’t have the traditional wedding they originally wanted. Former Hollyoaks star, Gemma Atkinson and Girls Aloud singer, Sarah Harding have recently unveiled their latest lingerie campaign – a week before valentines day.

Ultimo’s latest collections feature Gemma and Sarah dressed in a series of Bra and Knicker combinations.

The Scottish firm does it appear look after their models though, flying them to the warmer climates of Miami, Florida for the photo shoot last month.

Gemma, who is apparently planning on launching a pop career following her stint on Soapstar Superstar will be the face of the Ultimo’s D-G range from November.

The latest Ultimo collection is available from Debenhams stores nationwide.
